Thirty A.D. - Compassion Continued

Participating in the Truth Project doesn’t mean that we are changing our Thirty AD focus. In fact, the two fit perfectly together. The last two years we have been all about becoming the church of THIRTY AD. We did this through our Compassion outreaches, leaving the walls of the church to go out into the community, and also through our study of Acts. As the tree in our THIRTY AD logo symbolizes we looked at the roots of the church, the first church, our foundation and life blood, and how we should mirror their love for God and their love for people.

The part of the tree above ground symbolizes the church today - the present. We are part of the first church, the church of THIRTY AD. The THIRTY AD church helps us look at our Christian roots as we search for how to connect and have relationship with the God of the Universe. The roots are essential to our Christian worldview and culture today.

The Truth Project will help us continue to look at our roots and understand how those roots should impact our Christian worldview. An essential part of our worldview, as we will examine in the curriculum, is that our love for God should fuel our love for others. Therefore, come November we will continue our Compassion outreach opportunities.

We want to inform you of those Compassion Opportunities now so that you and your group can start praying about how you can participate.
